Sam is a warm, client-centred, registered psychologist with over has over 15 years experience in private practice working with adult
clients. Sam’s practice is a strengths-based approach, which means identifying and using her client’s own resources
and strengths to help them develop strategies to manage difficult / traumatic experiences. Sam uses an integrative approach of therapeutic interventions to suit the needs of her clients including: Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy, Acceptance-Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement & Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy, and Schema Therapy. Sam has completed a Master of
Counselling, Master of Psychology (Org) and undergraduate qualifications in psychology and business. She is also experienced in relationship therapy, helping couples work towards their specific goal, which may be building a more connected relationship; navigating distressing event (e.g. grief, illness, infidelity); or moving to a healthy co-parenting relationship. Sam has experience in Gottman and Emotionally Focused Therapy approaches to support couples in this process. She also has a special interest in neurodivergence and relationships.

From the 1 July 2024 Sam is available to see clients in-person at Bulimba on Monday, and via phone/video on Tuesday.
Sam also sees clients through Axis Clinic (www.axisclinic.com.au) in New Farm on Wednesday & Thursday.
